What if suspension bridges released glowing seeds that transformed everything

Across a chain of deep canyons, gigantic suspension bridges release thousands of glowing seeds that instantly transform every surface they touch. A visible wave of change spreads outward with each seed while untouched areas remain clearly different. Cables, towers, fog, and tiny vehicles make the scale unmistakable. Follow one seed through the air, then widen as the transformation races across the scene.
