What if crystal caves connected through luminous roots

Inside a cavern larger than a city, towering crystal caves grow luminous roots that connect every separate form across the entire horizon. Energy pulses through the branching network and causes synchronized movement at each connection. Facets reflect pools of light through mist and mineral dust. Glide just above the brightest root before climbing to reveal the complete network.
